    Introduction:

Lovingly known as the ‘Crown of India’, the state of Jammu & Kashmir lives up to its nickname of being the ‘Paradise on Earth’ which is true. Indeed!! As quoted by the famous Mughal Emperor Jehangir, “If there is a heaven on earth, it’s here, it’s here, it’s here”, Jammu & Kashmir acts as a ginee and it spreads its magic all over. It’s a dream of every  traveller to visit this paradise, at least once in their lifetime. Explore the paradise’s unique attractions and experience their traditions and cultures like your own! The beauty of Jammu & Kashmir makes the most fascinating memories with us and relishes our legacy to travel, explore and celebrate life.  A beautiful tour to Jammu and Kashmir takes you to a destination that offers you a window to get up close with mother nature, with the magnificent mountains and extraordinary lakes.

The destination itself is called “Little Switzerland” and it sure does live up to that name.

    Best time to visit Kashmir

Tourists come to Kashmir valley to witness this ‘heaven on earth’ and enjoy all that it offers. The blossoms of beautiful spring and the cool weather of summer creates the perfect season to visit Kashmir during this time. It is also one of the few places in India that go through four seasons – summer, monsoon, autumn and winter.

Kashmir In Summer (March to May)

    • Temperature –

During summer, the temperatures are not so high and don’t exceed a high of 30 to 31°C. The lower temperatures  range around 9 to 15°C.

    • Weather –

Summer weather in Kashmir is a little bit on the warmer side. Although the days are warm, the nights can still be quite cold.

    • Significance –

Kashmir is the dream of many newly married couples as the best honeymoon destination, and why not? The weather is nearly perfect and so romantic. Some people also like to stay in the houseboats that are situated on the lake and it’s overall a delightful experience.

    • Tips –

If you don’t want the experience to be uncomfortable or cold, then make sure you carry some warm clothes with you such as shawls, mufflers, jackets, mittens and socks. During the daytime, don’t forget to use some sunscreen and lip balm to prevent dry skin.

Kashmir In Monsoon (June to September)

    • Temperature –

During this time, the temperature ranges from lows of 15°C to highs of 30°C.

    • Weather –

During monsoon, the heavy rains reduces some of the summer heat, especially in places like Jammu. However, not all the parts of Kashmir get equal rainfall and thus the weather also varies quite a bit.

    • Significance –

Monsoons are an off season in Kashmir, visiting here during the monsoons can be a lifetime experience. The weather is pleasant and suitable and nearly perfect in all aspects.

    • Tips –

Monsoon is not as cold as winter , it can still be quite chilly sometimes for those who are not used to the weather in Kashmir. Some humidity can be experienced as well so you have to bring along your rain gear and other such items such as raincoats, jackets and some sturdy boots.

Kashmir In Winter (November to February)

    • Temperature –

In the time of November to February, expect low temperatures of 0°C and sub-zero too. High temperatures don’t often go beyond 15°C.

    • Weather –

The weather is colder now as temperatures sometimes go below zero. Nights can get very cold and you can see snowfall in Srinagar, Gulmarg and Sonmarg.

    • Significance –

Although winter is not the best time to visit Kashmir for many people as the cold is below 0 degree, this is the perfect time for winter sports.

    • Tips –

Getting warm clothes is a must like Sweaters, jackets, warm socks, mufflers, mittens and thermal underwear have to be included in your packing or you will not be able to handle the cold weather.

Kashmir In Autumn (October to November)

    • Temperature –

Autumn temperatures range from lows of 9°C to highs of at least 20°C.

    • Weather –

The weather during this time is quite a bite of chill as winter is almost here at this time. Still, it is cool and not extremely cold that you can’t even survive.

    • Significance –

Kashmir’s beauty and exquisitely during autumn is simply breathtaking. The vision is absolutely spectacular and beautiful in every way possible.

    • Tips –

One thing to remember is that despite being the normal weather for Kashmiris, you might still find it quite cold, so pack your clothes accordingly.

Things to carry on Kashmir Tour:-

    • Carry cold cream and lip balm in winter & sunscreen is a must in summers.
    • Carry a small bag with you to keep things in it.
    • Always carry extra money, memory card and waterproof camera bag
    • Carry Identity Proof for emergencies.
    • Keep a torch and medicines with you.
    • Headscarf is also a must for women if visiting a religious place.
    •  No system of Ola and Uber in Kashmir and even no Swiggy and Zomato.
    •  On 26th Jan and 15th August, try to spend your day in Gulmarg, Pahalgam or Sonmarg and strictly avoid Srinagar because being in a conflict zone, Srinagar city has a very tight security during these Indian national days.
